Lessons on Leadership from life at Starbucks
Speaking to Howard Behar offers you a rare moment to stop and reflect on your life’s ambitions and question the integrity of who you are and what you do. He unapologetically motivates his values-first message and inspires everyone to be ‘servant leaders’.
One of Howard Behar’s most impressive accolades as the founding President of Starbucks International is growing the Starbucks business from only 28 stores in North America to over 15,000 stores spanning five continents.
For 21 years, Behar led Starbuck’s domestic business as President of North America, and he became the founding President of Starbucks International. He served on the Starbucks Board of Directors for twelve years and now serves on the boards of several for-profit and non-profit organisations.
He is committed to the development and education of our future leaders and has been a long-time advocate of the Servant Leadership model. He is the author of It's Not About the Coffee: Lessons on Leadership from the Life at Starbucks and The Magic Cup.
