The robust fundamentals, including high-quality tenants and limited vacancy risk, provided an attractive diversification element to Old Mutual Property’s existing portfolio with the expected return profile from this transaction aligning with the company’s targeted stable income growth level.

The capital injection from Old Mutual Property serves as a strong endorsement of the Fund's track record and highlights their confidence in its growth prospects. 

The partnership positions the Big Box Retail Fund as a market leader and champion in an exciting real estate market segment in South Africa, allowing for both parties to leverage of off each other’s respective real estate expertise, in-house specialist teams and balance sheet strength.
