The challenge
The client wanted to refinance an existing mortgage on their primary residence and raise additional capital to replenish liquidity after significant cash commitments elsewhere. Their financial profile was complex, including monetised cash flows and capital earmarked for a new investment venture.
Our solution
By taking a broader view of the client’s overall financial position, Investec delivered a tailored remortgage solution. We provided a £5 million facility at 55% LTV on a five-year interest only basis, refinancing the existing mortgage and releasing additional capital to restore liquidity. Split between a term and a revolving facility, the structure offered both stability and flexibility to the client.
