Case study: High LTV mortgage with buy-to-let remortgage and capital raise

Investec Mortgage Intermediaries team

Investec has helped a number of clients to remortgage their existing property as a buy-to-let and facilitate the purchase of a new property.

The client

A broker recently introduced us to a client who worked in investment banking. The client was looking to purchase a six-bedroom family home.

The challenge

The client wanted to purchase the new property without selling his existing home and needed to move quickly. The client had a complex income structure including a salary, cash bonus and deferred stock, and required a high LTV for the new purchase.

The solution

Due to our extensive knowledge in private banking solutions, we offered the client an 80% LTV, interest-only loan on a five-year fixed rate with annual capital reductions. We provided this as a consumer buy-to-let mortgage on their existing property, to enable them to buy their new home.
