The borrower

The client started their career as an investment banker before setting up a number of businesses in the gaming industry. Recently, they sold their business and purchased their main residence.

The problem

The client wanted to remortgage their property to facilitate the payment of a personal bill. As this high-net-worth client had invested heavily in gold and silver, the client needed a lender that could look at their wealth holistically when calculating affordability.

The solution

Investec provided a revolving facility secured against the client’s home at 75% loan-to-value (LTV) and were able to take the income from alternative investments into account. This enabled the client flexibility to support their liquidity needs. The client also sought assistance for their future FX requirements as they are paid in USD.
