Embedded Solar Solutions

An embedded solar solution, also known as Small Scale Embedded Generation (SSEG), is a system where solar power is generated on-site, usually via rooftop panels and supported by battery storage, and connected directly to a building or the grid. It reduces electricity bills, improves energy security, and supports South Africa’s transition to sustainable energy.

Embedded generation places power generation at the point of use, like homes or businesses, reducing transmission losses and increasing energy independence. Traditional power supply relies on large, centralised stations sending electricity across long distances. Embedded systems are decentralised, flexible, and often renewable, while traditional supply is centralised, carbon-intensive, and grid-dependent.
