Mainstream Renewable Power
Energy and Infrastructure Finance
Taking flexible power mainstream
Our role
Investec acted as mandated lead arranger and sole debt provider for the senior debt funding of Mainstream Renewable Power’s 50MW Ilikwa solar PV project located in the Free State.
When fully operational, it will produce 141GWh of electricity per year, powering the equivalent of more than 42,000 homes and avoiding the annual release of approximately 100,000 tons of CO2.
A bespoke funding solution including development finance and equity in the project was provided by our Energy and Infrastructure Finance team.
We are proud to have partnered with Mainstream in this groundbreaking project that enhances energy access with flexible solutions for businesses in South Africa.
