Our role

Investec has closed its first transaction with RIVE Private Investments (“RIVE”). Based in Paris, Geneva and Luxembourg, RIVE is an investment firm which sources opportunities across Europe and OECD countries, with a specific focus on sustainable infrastructure and tangible assets. 

The facility covers twelve Airbus H135 and Leonardo AW109-type helicopters. The aircraft are used by three different lessees to support governmental services in helicopter-based emergency medical services (HEMS) in France and Spain. This portfolio forms part of the over EUR 2 billion deployed by RIVE in over 100 investments since 2013.    

This transaction marks further growth in Investec’s helicopter financing strategy, adding to the diversified pool of end use assets in a socially sustainable manner. The use of HEMS is pivotal in assisting emergency situations within the “golden hour” in trauma and emergency care, improving chances of survival of patients.

Investec's Aviation Finance team worked closely with our Treasury Sales and Structuring team to manage fixed rate swaps.
