R3bn SOLA Scorpius 150MW Solar PV Project reaches financial close
Our role
Investec acted as joint mandated lead arranger in raising R2bn in debt funding for the landmark SOLA Scorpius Project. The SOLA Scorpius Project is the first one-to-many utility scale solar PV project in South Africa to reach financial close. The 150MW power plant, which will be built near Virginia in the Free State, will connect to the national electricity network and supply power to a number of corporate off takers.
