Investec has been co-mandated as debt provider and hedge provider (interest rate and forex) to assist with the funding of the first 114MW of the SolarAfrica SunCentral 1 (RF) (Pty) Ltd project (“SunCentral1” or “Project”).

SunCentral 1 is a solar PV plant located in the Northern Cape that is being developed by SolarAfrica Energy.

The Project will sell renewable energy to a portfolio of corporate buyers together will Enpower, a NERSA approved Energy Trader.

Investec's Energy and Infrastuture Finance team worked closely with our Treasury Sales and Structuring team as part of the transaction.
