As part of Anglo American's broader portfolio simplification, it announced the demerger of majority of its interest in Anglo American Platinum Limited. Pursuant to the demerger, Anglo American Platinum was renamed to Valterra Platinum, a fully independent company with a well-diversified shareholder base and increased focus on strategy, commercial capabilities and capital allocation to optimise the return from its leading position in PGMs. It has a well-established existing listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, which is now enhanced by a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange following the first day of trading on 2 June 2025.
