Ed Thomas
Head of Services M&A advisory
Ed leads the Services M&A team at Investec and focusses on providing high quality advice to privately owned and private equity-backed businesses. He has over 10 years’ experience of advising across the UK mid-market on a variety of transactions such as sale processes, equity raises, acquisitions and IPOs.
Ed has worked with a broad range of Services clients but has a specific focus on tech-enabled businesses within the areas of professional services; testing, inspection and certification; and fund and trust administration.
William Godfrey
Head of Education & Training
William is Head of the Education sector advisory team in London and also works extensively across the Business Services sector with a particular focus on growth and tech-enabled businesses.
William joined Investec in 2012 and specialises in providing M&A advice to a wide variety of clients including private and public companies, entrepreneurs and private equity funds.
Dan Oldham
Associate Director Services M&A Advisory
Joining Investec in 2018, Dan has over 8 years of Corporate Finance experience, which included selling eCOGRA in 2021 to Hanover Investors. Dan previously spent four years in Operational Deal Advisory at EY, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Dan graduated from Warwick University with a Masters degree in Maths & Physics.
Freddie Thomas

Freddie joined Investec in February 2022 and has 5 years' experience in mid-market deals across the Services sector. Before joining Investec, Freddie was at Grant Thornton where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Freddie graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in Politics with Economics.
