Meet the team

I head up Investec India and have been responsible for setting up the Investec India franchise. I have 24 years of banking experience spread across the UK and India. I have an undergraduate degree in Engineering from IIT Kanpur, and a diploma in Management from IIM, Calcutta.

I head Institutional Equities at Investec India. I joined Investec from Espirito Santo. Prior to this, I was Associate Director at Kotak Securities. Earlier in my career, I was an Equity Research Analyst in New York - part of a two-member top-ranked IT Services team at Sanford Bernstein, and Senior Analyst covering Building Products at CIBC World Markets. I worked as a management consultant in the United States advising financial companies on automating business processes. I hold a BE from BIT, Mesra. I have an MBA from IIM – Calcutta as well as from Columbia Business School, New York.

Mufaddal has over 21 years of Investment Banking experience and is responsible for sponsor coverage. Prior to joining Investec, Mufaddal was part of the founding team at Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors. He was also a director at Rabo India Securities and has also worked for GE Capital, IL&FS and Exim Bank.

Piyush has over 25 years experience in Indian Credit & Fixed Income markets. He was previously MD & Head of Fixed Income at JP Morgan and MD & Co-Head of Global Markets at Deutsche Bank India.

I joined Investec in December 2015 to spearhead the Corporate Finance and Equity Capital Market division. Previously, I was Head of India M&A at Barclays. Earlier in my career, I was an Executive Director at JM Morgan Stanley and JM Financial. I hold a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering from University of Nagpur and a Masters of Management Studies from Mumbai University.

Vikram joined Investec in July 2019 to Co-Head Corporate Finance & Equity Capital Markets division. Previously, he was a Director at Lazard India where he spent over 13 years providing advice to clients around the world on complex transactions across various sectors in India. Overall, he has consummated close to 60 deals in multiple sectors across M&A and equity capital raising transactions. Previous to Investec, Vikram has also worked with HDFC Asset Management and Deloitte. Vikram is a Chartered Accountant from India and a Chartered Management Accountant from the UK.

I joined Investec in February 2019 with over 15 years of experience across all practice areas of Compliance, Legal and Company Secretarial. Prior to joining Investec, I was with CLSA for 4 years and before that with Espirito Santo Investment Bank and BNP Paribas where I have handled all practice areas of Compliance, Legal and Company Secretarial. I have a B.Com and LL.B(Gen) from Mumbai University and I am a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

As Investec India’s CFO & COO, Neha is responsible for the overseeing the financial and operational activities of the company. Prior to joining Investec in September 2016, she was part of the Financial Control team of BNP Paribas Bank, Mumbai. Neha is a Chartered Accountant from India.
