Much like us, Beyond Business has a keen eye for a restless spirit. They look to change people’s lives through social enterprise, helping entrepreneurs and start-ups make a real difference in their communities. So far, these social enterprises have built a joint turnover of more than £4m, generating more than 275 jobs across the local boroughs. As a leading supporter of their work with sustainable businesses we help Beyond Business nurture talent, providing financial investment and mentoring to give them the start they need.

Beyond Business is based at The Bromley by Bow Centre, itself a dynamic regeneration charity. It too works with the local community, providing health and well-being advice, education and initiatives to support bold business ideas. We’ve partnered with the innovative East London organisation since 2008, working together to help isolated people get more involved with their communities. Our volunteers also help maintain the Centre’s park, the largest green space in the local area.

Norwood is a prominent Jewish charity in the UK that does a power of work to support vulnerable children and their families, children with special education needs and people with learning disabilities. To provide these services requires £35m each year. We are proud to support Norwood in raising the funds they need to make a positive difference to people’s lives. In addition, we’re delighted to have been announced as a strategic partner for this year’s Norwood Private Equity Dinner, one of the largest fundraising events in the private equity industry.

We also work alongside a number of charities from our homeland. An example of this is our close partnership with South African charity the Starfish Greathearts Foundation. The foundation runs projects to support young people whose families have been devastated by AIDS, ensuring children receive the start in life that everyone deserves. We actively participate in a number of Starfish campaigns, raising money and helping to organise vital fundraising events.
